Springtime has arrived and we are loving it!  E loves being outside and taking in all of the new colors, sounds and smells.  All of the leaves are coming back on the trees (finally) and flowers are blooming everywhere, birds are chirping and our neighbors are bbq-ing in their backyards.  Most days we have weather in the upper 70's/low 80's and it is so much nicer than those cold depressing winter days.

This past weekend, we drove to Stonewall, Texas to visit the LBJ National Historical Park-Ranch for a little family time excursion.  To be honest, I was really nervous about how E would do.  Besides the car ride out there, I worried about feeding schedule, crankiness in public, etc.  Well... I had nothing to worry about at all.  E was the most perfect baby.  There were tons of other babies there in their strollers and they were crying but not our boy.  E was strapped to his mommy in his baby carrier, looking out at everything.  He was sweet, happy and wide-eyed the whole time.  We visited an old 1900-style farm lived in by the neighbors of LBJ.  I think this was E's favorite.  The farm housed pigs, chickens, turkeys, cows and sheep.  E stared at them all in wonder.  We have a  bunch of pictues that we'll get posted to the site soon.

We also visited the Johnson family cemetary, the LBJ's boyhood family home (turned guesthouse in the 1970's), the Texas White House, LBJ's One-Room Elementary School, and I think we saw a few other things but these were the ones I remember best.

On Easter Bunny Sunday (as we call it), E opened his Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa and spent the day in a fairly good mood.  We mostly laid low and went out in the backyard a few times to accomodate E's love of the outdoors.  He just really dislikes being couped up inside.  We are all really enjoying the gorgeous weather and are looking forward to more family outdoor activities this coming year.
