Wow... so we're well into August already.  This coming Saturday, E will turn 9 months old.  It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home for the first time, scared as all hell that we'd break him or his head would fall off or something.  But here we are, all healthy, happy and thriving.  And our little boy, as we are starting to realize, isn't as little as we thought.  A few weeks ago, we went to put E in his rubber ducky tub for a bath and we noticed the tub was looking a bit small.  E was all over the place and didn't spend much time in the tub as he did stretched out of the tub.

Then on Sunday, I decided to put E in his little $5 Walmart pool in the backyard.  It's been a while since he's gone swimming and since he's such a fan of the water, it seemed like he was due for some pool time.  The first time we used the blow-up pool, he looked so little and we were some what worried he would drown in the 6 inch pool.  This time it couldn't hold him.  We set him down and he completely consumed the entire pool, the water spilled out over the sides and E looked at us wondering why we would put him on this wet piece of plastic.  Swim time lasted about 5 minutes before we heard a hissing sound.  It took me a minute to figure out what it was but Marty knew right away... air was slowly leaking out.  So, now it's back to the store to get him a new pool, one that will hopefully hold him until he goes through the next growth spurt.
