Date Night, Fun Night
Marty and I did something on Friday night that married couples with little babies rarely get to do... we went on a romantic date, just the two of us (what did you think I meant). We dropped E off with our very good friends M&S and their kids and went out for a nice romantic dinner at Rocco's Grill in Lakeway. We did it up right too! We had an appetizer, salad (for me), wine, entrees and dessert. At the first bite of our "chocolate eruption" cake, we had to order another piece to bring back to M&S to thank them for watching the boy. We took our time eating and spent half of the meal talking about anything and everything, then spent the other half of the meal talking about E (we just can't help it). After our meal, we headed back to get the baby and hung out for a little bit before heading home. It was such a nice Friday evening. Need to do that more often, however with Marty's fall semester starting, I don't think we'll get much of a chance.
On Saturday night, we headed over to P&A's house for bbq and musica. Our friend Nat recently got back from Columbia and also we had A's dad in town from Ireland. R&H came too. Little H loved playing with E and I think she's petitioning to adopt him as I type. Nat brought something back from Columbia called fire water. We had some of the best bbq I've ever eaten; gourmet burgers, the most tender steak, tasty brats, homemade (real homemade) potato salad, grilled veggies. E even tried some burger... the verdit is still out on whether or not he enjoyed it. We stuffed our bellies and then out came the fire water. Yada yada yada, pink guitar. Yada yada yada, singing, lots of singing. Yada yada yada, dancing. Yada yada yada, we got home around 2am and went to straight to bed. So much fun!!!! Now I just hope those video clips don't make it on to youtube.
